There are two components of this training: the Restrictive Strategies Rule and the Reactive Strategies Procedures. Both components are required.
There are two components of this training: Best Practices in Supported Employment and Introduction to Social Security Work Incentives. Each course must be successfully completed in order to become a certified Supported Employment Coach. Classroom sessions are available on a limited basis, and both courses are available in a web-based format.
There are two components of this training: Statewide Certification Training and APD Specific Area Office Information. Each course must be successfully completed in order to become a certified Waiver Support Coordinator. Classroom sessions are available on a limited basis and only available from APD area staff. The statewide certification course is provided only by persons approved by APD central office.
Florida Benefits Information Resource Network (FBIRN)
A network of state agency staff trained to facilitate people with disabilities to connect with federal and state workers who are certified to provide benefits assistance
