24 hours of Pre-Service Supported Employment and The Changing Face of Benefits Training Sessions

Supported Employment

• The two day 12 hour pre-certification on supported employment training will be held on January 8th and 9th. The curriculum will cover a wide range of topics including the values and philosophy of supported employment, what your role is as a provider of supported employment services, building careers, job development, marketing, and much more.

"The Changing Face of Benefits"

• The two day 12 hour certificate of completion for "The Changing Face of Benefits" will be held on January 15th and 16th. The curriculum will cover the myriad of rules governing SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and related work incentives for people with disabilities.

Completion of BOTH the Supported Employment Training and "The Changing Face of Benefits" are one set of requirements for new job coaches/providers wishing to work in the supported employment field for APD, Area 4.
