Governor Scott Visits Orlando

Developmental Disability Day at the Capitol

During the Florida Cabinet meeting on March 7, Governor Rick Scott officially declared March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Also, Governor Scott recognized Korinne Kaliher with the Idelio Valdes Award, and presented Publix with the Governor’s Business Ambassador Award for the company’s longstanding commitment to hiring people with disabilities throughout the state.

Governor Makes Stop in Miami

Florida Governor Rick Scott visited Miami to talk about his proposed Florida Families First budget. Governor Scott also took a tour of the Association for the Development of the Exceptional while visiting. Check out the Champion to learn more about his visit.
